Prince William County Public Schools supports the need to ensure that its staff, students, and the community are aware of the seriousness of brain injuries and concussions and how they can affect the student’s abilities in the educational setting. In April 2011, the Prince William County School Board adopted a concussion policy that meets the Virginia Code. The law requires parents and students to sign a form attesting that they received training prior to any level of student participation in athletics.

     Sessions will be held on Sept. 7, Nov. 2, Jan. 10, and March 13.  We will begin promptly at 6:30 and please bring a pen.

The meet with Gainesville has been rescheduled for May 9th, same time.

The rescheduled date for the Manassas Park meet is on May 2. 

We will be ordering navy blue t-shirts and windbreakers for the team this year.  This information was provided to each athlete on Wednesday April 6.  Orders will be accepted at the latest on Monday.  Please note that the total for both items is $58 with checks made out to Marsteller Middle School.  Links below provide a link to the designs of each.

On Wednesday April 6, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. we will be having a Running Store night at the Atlas Walk in Gainesville, VA.  We will meet as a team at the Globe between Uno's and the Alehouse.

Please note that we will be having a team night at The Running Store in Gainesville, VA along the Atlas Walk Shopping Center.  Please stay tuned for more details!

Thank you for all those athletes who came and tried out for the team.  We now have our roster of forty young men and three managers.  Coach Anderson and Coach Finch are excited to get the year started!  

Just a reminder that practices are held Monday-Thursday from 2:45-4:45.  If your child is going to be absent from practice they must let one of the coaches know themselves!  Reasons from one student to another to the coach is not exceptable.  

The weather is still on the cold side so please make sure that you athlete is bringing the appropriate clothes for practice each day. 

For those interested in Boys Track, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday March 16 till 3:30 in the gym.  Please have rides at that time.  We will be discussing the track tryouts schedule as well as answering any questions your potential athlete may have. 

Please note that if your athlete did not participate or tryout for a fall or winter sport that a completed physical must be provided along with a blue emergency contact form.  Both can be picked up at the front desk in the office AND both need to be present on the first day of tryouts.
